Frequently asked questions
Which layout protects a photo best?
Tiled. Repeating the text across the whole picture means it cannot simply be cropped off. Corner is the quiet choice for a portfolio, where you want credit rather than a barrier.
Should I watermark a copy of my ID before sending it?
It is a good habit. Writing something like “For flat rental application only” across a copy of an Aadhaar card, passport or driving licence makes it far less useful to anyone who tries to reuse it. Use Diagonal or Tiled at Medium so the details stay readable.
Can I write the watermark in Hindi or another script?
Yes. The text is drawn by your own browser, so any language your device can display works — Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Arabic, Chinese and more.
Does adding a watermark reduce quality?
The picture is saved once more, at 92% quality by default — not visible in a photo. Choose PNG under Export settings if you need it lossless.
