Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Every tool runs inside your browser tab using your own device. The file is read from your disk, changed in memory and saved back — it is never sent to a server, which is also why nothing is left behind when you close the tab.

Is QuickFileToolkit really free?

Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no paid tier waiting behind a limit. The site is kept free by a small number of ads, and they never see your files.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Every tool is built for phones first and runs in any recent browser on Android or iPhone, including on slow connections. You can pick a file from your gallery or take a photo straight into the tool.

How do I get a photo under a limit like 20 KB or 50 KB?

Open Compress image and set a target size. The tool searches for the highest quality that still fits, so you get exactly what the form asks for instead of guessing with a quality slider.

Which file types can I use?

JPG, PNG and WebP images, iPhone HEIC photos, and PDF documents. Drop any of them on the box at the top of this page and it shows you the tools that can open it.

Is there a file size limit?

We do not set one, because nothing is uploaded — the limit is your device’s memory. Very large files, like PDFs with hundreds of pages, can be slow on an older phone, and the tool warns you before it starts.
