Frequently asked questions
- Can I crop to an exact aspect ratio?
- Yes — choose a preset like Square, 4:3, 16:9, or Passport and the crop box keeps that shape while you resize it. The exact pixel size is shown live under the editor.
- Does cropping reduce image quality?
- No. Cropping simply cuts away pixels outside your selection — the pixels you keep are untouched. PNG output is fully lossless; JPG is re-saved at high quality.
- How do I crop a photo for a passport application?
- Pick the "Passport (3.5 × 4.5 cm)" preset, frame the face according to your country’s guidelines, and tap Crop. Then use our resize tool if the portal also demands a file size limit like 20 KB.
- Is my photo uploaded while cropping?
- No. The editor runs completely in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device.
