Frequently asked questions
- Which format should I choose?
- JPG is the safe choice for photos and is accepted everywhere. WebP is 25–35% smaller at the same quality, ideal for websites. PNG keeps perfect quality and transparency, best for logos, screenshots, and graphics.
- What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?
- JPG doesn’t support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Convert to WebP or keep PNG if you need the transparency preserved.
- Does converting lose quality?
- Converting to PNG is lossless. Converting to JPG or WebP applies the quality level you pick — at 90% the difference is invisible for most photos.
- Are my images uploaded anywhere?
- No. Conversion happens inside your browser. Your images never leave your device, and nothing is kept when you close the page.
