Frequently asked questions

Which format should I choose?
JPG is the safe choice for photos and is accepted everywhere. WebP is 25–35% smaller at the same quality, ideal for websites. PNG keeps perfect quality and transparency, best for logos, screenshots, and graphics.
What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?
JPG doesn’t support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Convert to WebP or keep PNG if you need the transparency preserved.
Does converting lose quality?
Converting to PNG is lossless. Converting to JPG or WebP applies the quality level you pick — at 90% the difference is invisible for most photos.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion happens inside your browser. Your images never leave your device, and nothing is kept when you close the page.
